As a mother myself, I know how incredibly fleeting those first moments with your brand new baby are, and how important it is to have them documented to look back on. The first fews weeks are quite a blur of exhaustion and sleepless nights, and you will be so grateful to have those beautiful moments of your baby to look back on ♥
Please read the following information regarding how sessions work, as well as your investment. It should hopefully help answer all your questions regarding a newborn session with Kay Olive Photography.
How Newborn Sessions Work:
I - Once you decide on which collection is the best choice for you and your family, you can fill out the booking form below and we'll get the process started! To officially reserve your session you will need to sign a session agreement, as well have made your retainer payment.
After that is done, you will receive a confirmation email with a session questionnaire. There you can request certain colors, poses, etc.
II - Newborn sessions are typically scheduled within the first two weeks of birth. We reserve your session based off of your due date and then as soon as your baby is born, we figure out the actual date for your session. As babies are unpredictable in their arrival, I only reserve a certain amount of due dates per month to allow for any surprises.
III - Sessions are held weekday mornings (M-F) in my Clayton, North Carolina studio.
A $100 retainer is required to book your session (goes towards your total). The remaining balance will be paid in full the day of your session. Once you are officially booked, you will receive another guide that will go more in detail of what to expect before, during, and after your session.

FAQ
How far in advanced do I need to book?
It is recommended to book at least 2 months in advance of your
estimated due date to ensure availability on my calendar.
What if my baby is already born?
No worries! Sometimes I have openings in my calendar from babies
being born early/late. If your baby is already here I will do my best to
accommodate you in my schedule.
Can I receive my images unedited/RAWS?
No. The editing that I do is part of my artistic style and
therefore I am unable to supply unedited files, as is the case
with all respected professional photographers.
Where will the session be?
Sessions will be held in my studio in Clayton, North Carolina. Conveniently located off of HWY 70.
